Today the Two Top Fire grew to approximately 130 acres. It continued to find areas where single as well as groups of trees torched, then spotted and burned new areas. Air resources continued to cool the fire with water and slow its movement with retardant. The fire was visible today from the town of West Yellowstone, MT as well as Island Park, ID. No structures are threatened and Highway 20 leading into West Yellowstone is open. The fire remains located on the Continental Divide between Montana and Idaho. Crews contained the 3 acre Mosquito Fire today and will continue to seek out and cool any remaining hot spots tomorrow. An area closure was placed around the fire today to enable crews to work and maintain safety for the public.
