FIRE NAME: Two Top Fire DATE OF DETECTION: Friday August 30 2013 CAUSE: Lightning CURRENT SIZE: 148 acres (11 acre increase due to more accurate mapping) CONTAINMENT: 70 % LOCATION: The fire is located on the Continental Divide northwest of Reas Pass. It is approximately 8 air miles from the town of West Yellowstone. AGENCY: Gallatin National Forest and Caribou-Targhee National Forest PERSONNEL AND RESOURCES ON THE FIRE: 1-large helicopter 1 medium helicopter and 1 light helicopter; 192 firefighters and support personnel These fires do not pose a threat to area residents or visitors. US-20 US-191 and US-287 are all open as are all businesses in the communities of West Yellowstone Montana and Island Park Idaho. The West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park is open. Very little smoke has been seen since Wednesday. Third and fourth graders from West Yellowstone visited the Incident helibase yesterday.
